In My Opinion:

Thomas the Train is a wonderful cartoon for kids. My daughter was never really into it, or so I thought. When we received this DVD in the mail, she flipped out! She just HAD to watch it right away! She has quite a collection of DVDs and I have to say, this is one of her most favorites. She absolutely loves Thomas and all his friends, and Sir Toppam Hat. I think this is an excellent movie for both boys and girls to watch as you are trying to prepare them for back to school!

Tumbleos ~ Review & Giveaway

My daughter is a level 2 gymnast and is about to start competing in meets this January. She LOVES gymnastics, and we love that she loves it. But, if you know anything about the sport, it is very demanding. She practices A LOT, and has to have leotards to practice in. Leotards can be extremely expensive, and lots of times the less expensive ones are not the best quality. When I came across Tumbleos I knew I had to contact them! 

Since my daughter is only 4, she of course likes the brightly colored and "girly" leos. I try to look for ones that are not too grown up looking, even though she is at competitive level, she is after all still a little girl. Tumbleos has anything you could possibly want! They have a selection of materials and styles, and you choose what you want and they custom make it for you! I have paid upwards of $50 for a plain colored practice leo. With tumbleos you can pick the style and colors you want for a GREAT price.

The leotard that I got for review was the heart top style, and the main part of the leotard is made of the multi-swirl fabric that my daughter loved. The top is grape mystique. Mystique is a very shimmery shiny type of fabric. It is very pretty! It also came with a matching scrunchie made of the swirl fabric!!!

Super cute leotard, right???!!!! My daughter loves it! It fits her very well (no wedgies with this one LOL) and she loves the bright colors and matching scrunchie. I love it too. It is very well made, all the seams are strong and I don't worry that it will fall apart when I wash it. She has worn it to practice multiple times, and I have washed it after every time, and it still looks brand new. The material is still in perfect condition, and there are no spots that have been rubbed off from the beam or the bars, which I have seen happen on multiple leos. I would definitely recommend Tumbleos to any other gym mom. I give them a 10!

Dali Decals Review & $25 GC Giveaway!

I rent a house. Which means that I am very limited on what decorations I can use. I have no pictures on the walls, and virtually nothing hanging up that gives my home a sense of style. It is very bland. But when you rent, you aren't really allowed to put holes in the walls or paint. There IS another alternative!

With Dali Decals, you can now add your own personal touch to your home without having to stress over causing damage! I had always wondered about wall decals, and when I took a look at what Dali Decals had to offer, I have to say I was very impressed. They are completely removable so you don't have to worry about repainting or touching up the wall. Installation is a breeze, and they come with the tool you need plus a small decal for you to practice on. I also loved the packaging. The decals come rolled up in a triangular shaped box, so there is not a whole lot of extra cardboard box waste. Much better for the planet!

For my review, I chose some decals to decorate my daughter's bedroom. I wanted something that was super cute, but that she might like as she got older too. I chose the Funky Modern Circles. This has her initial in a super cute circle border, and her name written separately in a really cute font. I also got her the Mini Poppies decal to put on the bed we are making her. (I say we, I mean the Hubz, and I am praying it will get finished before she is too big to fit in it LOL!) The bed is a playhouse bed, so I thought it would be neat to have the flowers on the front of the bed so that it looks like there is a garden in front of her house. So see! They are not JUST for walls!

Please forgive me, I have no pictures of the decals on the walls. As I said we are renters, and our lease is up soon. We are not sure whether we are going to continue renting this house, find a different one (with a fenced backyard), or if Hubz will accept a job in another state. Since I am unsure, I do not want to put the decals up just to have to leave them behind. :( I would be so so sad. These decals are removable, but not reusable. So I do not want to waste them! I do know from personal experience however, that they are beautiful once they are applied to the wall. (My friend has one that she got from Dali!)

There are so many different decals in so many colors to choose from. I could sit here all day and list some of my favorites (there are MANY!). If you are looking to redo any room or just add a splash of personality to an everyday object, be sure to check out Dali Decals.

I think Daddy Scrubs would make an excellent baby shower gift for someone. My husband would have probably loved a set when we had our little girl, and he would have thought that it was pretty cool that there was something out there like that for the fathers.

For our review he picked the Daddy Scrubs Classic - Edgy Navy. When they arrived I was really surprised at how soft the material was. I worked in a hospital for a few years, and had to wear scrubs to work and a lot of them were really stiff and uncomfortable. Not Daddy Scrubs. You can be sure that the Daddy in your life will be comfortable and stylin' while waiting on his little bundle of joy!!!!

Kidorable ~ Review & Giveaway (ENDS 4/2)

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I was to get to do a review for Kidorable!!!! They have the cutest stuff for kids!!! Raincoats, boots, umbrellas, backpacks, towels, hangers, oh my!!! So much cute stuff it's unreal!!! I love just about everything they have!!!

For my review I got a Raincoat, Rain Boots, and Umbrella from the Lucky Cat Collection. BR LOVES her new rain gear, and I guess I don't mind as much when she wants to stomp in a puddle!

I love every bit of it. It even comes with it's own super cute hanger!

I think Kidorable's items are very well made. The sizes seem to run just a tad big, but that was ok to me because it just means that BR can use her coat and boots for longer. She absolutely loves her umbrella. She had been wanting her own umbrella for quite some time so she was thrilled!!

It can be hard to get your kids to brush their teeth. I have a 4 year old, so I should know LOL. That is why I was really excited to do a review for Tanner's Tasty Paste.

This toothpaste is super yummy, and made especially for kids. My daughter LOVES it, and so do I because I don't have to fight her to get her to go brush. Her favorite is the Banilla Bling. She said it tastes like ice cream!! The Cha Cha Chocolate is very good too.

They also have non-fluoride toothpaste for babies too! It is called Baby Bling, and I am sure your little one will love it. BR does, but she is a little too old for it.

I would definitely recommend Tanner's Tasty Paste to anyone with small kids. If they don't like brushing their teeth, they will beg for it after trying this toothpaste!!!

Super excited to be working with Technogel again! If you missed my first review with them, I will recap for you. Technogel is a line of AMAZING products. Their pillows are out of this world. I am sure that most people have only dreamed about a pillow this awesome (no pun intended LOL).

A little info about Technogel:

This time I got to review the Technogel Travel Pillow. 

This little pillow is just as awesome as the larger ones, but much more convenient. When it came in the mail my daughter said "Look Mommy! It's a pillow just like yours but in MY SIZE!!!" She loves it LOL. It has stayed on her bed since we got it. It is made just like the larger ones with the memory foam and the cooling gel layer. The cooling gel is so awesome! I know a ton of people who are always talking about flipping their pillows over to get to the cold side, and with Technogel you don't have to!

Technogel pillows are wonderful for people who suffer back pain, headaches, and general tossing and turning at night. I am a chronic headache sufferer, and I can tell you that this really does help. I still get them during the day, but the times when I wake up with a headache first thing in the morning have greatly diminished. I was so excited to be able to do a review for them! It took me SO LONG to pick something for review. I am talking DAYS. That is how many wonderful things they have on their website!

Finally after much deliberation, I chose the World Throw blanket for my husband.

I thought this blanket was a really great idea. First of all, the message is really sweet. You can get it for a father or a grandfather. It is a really great size, and actually really soft. The World Throw is also really well made. I have bought tons of blankets made in the same way, and the strings pull out. It just makes the whole blanket look bad. But this one does not seem like it would do that.

My daughter was super excited when we got this in the mail. She could not wait to give it to her Daddy, and told him it was his Valentines Day present.

I think something like this would make the perfect Father's Day gift (it's coming up soon!) and what makes it even better is that you can personalize it! My hubby loved his!!!

ARGH! The Pirate Game ~ Review & Giveaway (Ends 3/10)

I am always excited to review new games and toys for my daughter, so you can imagine I was pretty thrilled over working with Fat Brain Toys. Fat Brain Toys is an awesome company that has so many awesome and unique toys and games for kids. When you are looking at their website, you may find many things missing. You will not find any violent toys, no licensed toys, no cheaply made toys that are just going to end up in the trash can. For my review I received ARGH! The Pirate Game (from the Fat Brain Toy product line). This is a really cute card game and it is super easy to play. My daughter cannot read quite yet and we had no trouble at all. The cards only have pictures so no reading is required.

Learning how to shuffle the cards

To play the game you first shuffle the cards, then just put them all face down in a pile in the middle. This is called "Plunder Island". We of course had the youngest player go first (my daughter).

For your turn you draw as many cards as you want until you decide your turn is over! I know, sounds too easy right? Of course there is a catch!!! You can keep drawing, but if you draw a pirate your turn is over and you have to give back all of the cards!!!

You place your "treasure" cards in front of you face up. There is also a skull and cross bones card that let's you steal a treasure from another player. That was BR's favorite LOL! Whoever has the most "treasure" when all the cards are gone is the winner!!! 

Let me tell you, my daughter is one lucky girl. Her Daddy and I kept getting all the pirates! She beat us every single time!!!

She absolutely LOVES this game and has begged to play it over and over again. It was actually a lot of fun for the grown ups too. It was not a game that seemed to take forever and D R A G on and on. The concepts are simple enough for young children to understand and the game is very straight forward. I gave it a 9 out of 10!

Rock'N Learn #3 Review & Giveaway (Ends 3/4)

I LOVE Rock'N Learn! I think they have awesome products that kids and parents both will love. I have worked with Rock'N Learn a couple of times before, and am super excited to be able to do another review for them!!I cannot say enough times that I think these products are excellent. I wish I had known about them when BR was a lot smaller, but unlike some educational videos for kids, there are plenty available for older children too.

For this review I got the Letter Sounds DVD. BR knows all her letter sounds but she still loved watching it, and her younger cousin was in love with this too. She picked up the letter sounds very quickly from this DVD. I have seen many other phonics type children's DVD's and I have to say that this one kept their attention a lot better than most. If I have another child I know that I will be putting this DVD in when they are at a very early age. It's never too soon to start!

The coolest thing about this cat, is that he is made 100% recycled plastic bottles!!! I thought that was super neat. He is completely cuddly too! He has a slightly plasticy feel, but nothing too bad, and he is soft, he just doesn't feel like traditional stuffed animals. My daughter loves him!

With slapstick humor and not a single line of dialogue, Timmy Time follows a day in the life of barnyard preschoolers.  With diverse animal characters along with a rich and colorful nursery school backdrop, Timmy and his friends learn life lessons that every preschooler needs to know.  Whether fleeing bath time, becoming a walking collage, being bitten by the cleaning bug or engaging in a paint war, Timmy and his pals always bring joy, heart and a little silliness to any situation.  

Timmy Time™ is part of Disney Channel’s Disney Junior programming for kids ages 2-7 and their families, which airs in more than 99 million U.S. homes. The show is created by Aardman Studios, the Academy Award®-winning creators of Wallace & Gromit™ and Shaun the Sheep™.

Synopsis:

Enjoy some good clean fun with Timmy and his friends! Adventures with mud, glue and paint leave Timmy in some sticky situations. This clever little lamb uses his creativity to make tub-time fun and turn a paint fight into a masterfleece! Timmy cleans up and discovers the most fun of all is being with friends! Timmy Time is super cute. You wouldn't think that a bunch of animals who don't talk would be very entertaining but it really is. My daughter likes to watch it a lot and it is really engaging for smaller children as well. You should really check out Timmy and his barnyard pals next time you are looking for a great DVD for your kids.
