About the Film:
The North Pole has a new litter of playful pups! My Review! 
My daughter LOVES dogs. And when I say LOVES, I mean that she has BEGGED for a dog for the past year and a half. She is only 5. So I just knew that she would love this movie! And I was right. She is beginning to get into the Christmas spirit, so when I showed her there was a Christmas movie with puppies in it, it was all over. The television was hers for the rest of the afternoon. I love all the Christmas music in the movie. I think that it was a very adorable movie for the family and I am pretty sure that it will remain a holiday favorite for a long time.

My Review:  I have ALWAYS loved this movie. I was so excited to be able to share it with my daughter. She sat down and watched it twice!! She loves it now as much as I do. My husband and I sat down with her and had a family movie night. I think that this is one of the best movies of all time and I am soooo excited that it came out on DVD and BluRay!!!

JENNIFER GARNER

 

When Jennifer Garner was pregnant with her first child, Violet, the pregnancy was worked into the final season of Alias, making kick-ass Sydney Bristow one spy with a bun in the oven.

LISA KUDROW

Lisa Kudrow’s real-life pregnancy was written into the 4^th and 5^th season of Friends.  However, instead of making the actress give birth to a baby of her own, the writers crafted a storyline where she became the surrogate mother to her brother’s triplets.  

ALYSON HANNIGAN

When Alyson Hannigan became pregnant with her second child, her character Lily on How I Met Your Mother was already expecting so the writers didn’t have to change much with the story line.  Talk about perfect timing!

JANUARY JONES

The writers of Mad Men took a different route when January Jones announced her pregnancy. Instead of making her character, Betty Draper, pregnant, Jones made her character fat by creating a story line about a tumor in her thyroid.  A fat suit was brought in to cover Jones’ bump and perpetuate the “fat” character arch in the season. 

JENNA FISCHER

Life certainly imitated art when Jenna Fischer announced she was expecting first child with her husband, Lee Kirk.  Fischer, who plays Pam inThe Office, was already scheduled to give birth to a second child in the show after Pam and Jim had a little Valentine’s Day lovin’.  The story line was already in place and but it was only when Fischer shot the episode did she find out she was really preggers. 

Beyond Bedding ~ Giveaway!!!

I don't know about you, but I always want my little girls room to be just right. Now that she is old enough, she can help pick out the things that she would like in her room. When I asked her what she wanted her response was "I want a pink and black and white room." Well, I looked and looked and most of the choices were not that great. Most were too old looking (She is only 5), or they were just not cute.

When I was chosen to work with Beyond Bedding, I was beyond excited! I had found a beautiful kids comforter set online, and had been looking at it for a while. Beyond Bedding had the exact one that I had been keeping my eye on! It is a beautiful  kids comforter set by Jo-Jo Designs. I love everything made by them, but this one was perfect for her pink, black, and white theme. Here is the picture from their website.

Well I am going to tell you right now that this comforter is just as pretty in person as it is in the picture. The twin sized set comes with the comforter, bed skirt, pillow sham, and window valence! I love the fact that it comes with the window valence. I feel like that ties the whole room together. Here are some pics of the comforter on her bed!

I think it is super cute! And she really loves it! I don't have pictures of the valence and the bed skirt. We are actually in the process of getting my daughter a new bed and redoing her whole room. But when it is all put together it will look awesome!!!

Another thing that I really loved about Beyond Bedding is that they offer Custom Children's Bedding. You can actually go in and design your own comforter set. I will have to admit, I played with this quite a bit to see what all I came up with. It was super neat. All in all I think that Beyond Bedding is an awesome place to find the bedding that will make your rooms look great. I would definitely tell people to check them out when shopping for bedding sets!!!

Heidi Klum to Appear in New Team Umizoomi Spot about Math Debuting Aug. 19

NEW YORK, Aug. 1, 2012 – Nickelodeon continues to celebrate a sports-filled summer with new primetime specials of preschool favorites Dora the Explorer and Team Umizoomi on Monday, Aug. 13.  First, Dora gets the chance to perform a special ribbon dance in “Dora’s Fantastic Gymnastics Adventure,” at 7:00 p.m. (ET/PT).  Then, the mighty miniature math superheroes, Team Umizoomi, go for the gold in “Team Umizoomi: The Umi Games,” at 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

Additionally, a new spot featuring Heidi Klum and Team Umizoomi will premiere Sunday, Aug. 19 on Nick Jr.  In the spot, the heel of Klum’s shoe is not even with the other and Umi Team member Milli uses her measuring tape ponytails to add inches to it, illustrating the series’ message that math can be used to solve everyday problems. 

In “Dora’s Fantastic Gymnastics Adventure,” Dora and Boots are practicing for the Fantastic Gymnastics Show when Dora gets a special delivery – a beautiful rainbow ribbon.  This means that Dora gets to start the show with her ribbon dance!  But Swiper comes in and swipes the ribbon and the show can’t start until Dora gets it back.  Dora and Boots set out on an adventure to find the ribbon so she can perform her special routine. 

In “Team Umizoomi: The Umi Games,” Team Umizoomi are getting ready to play in the biggest sports event around - The Umi Games!  The Umi Team will have to go up against the strong, fast, and very agile Sports Robots in four different sports – soccer, swimming, basketball and biking.  Milli, Geo and Bot will use their Mighty Math Powers, including counting and identifying shapes, in order to outsmart the robot athletes and win the trophy.

In My Opinion:

Thomas the Train is a wonderful cartoon for kids. My daughter was never really into it, or so I thought. When we received this DVD in the mail, she flipped out! She just HAD to watch it right away! She has quite a collection of DVDs and I have to say, this is one of her most favorites. She absolutely loves Thomas and all his friends, and Sir Toppam Hat. I think this is an excellent movie for both boys and girls to watch as you are trying to prepare them for back to school!

In My Opinion:

We really loved this movie! My daughter is not quite 5, and she is not one of those kids who will only watch Cartoons, so I knew she would at least give this a shot. She loves fairy tales and has the original Disney version of Snow White which she likes a lot. We watched this movie together and I have to say, it is the best family friendly non-animated movie that I have seen in a long time! My daughter is one of those kids who will literally watch a movie over and over and over (back to back with no break in between) so I am sure after about a week she will be able to recite every word!

If you are looking for a great family movie be sure to take a look at this one!!!
