She is on an invitation only team that is Level 1. They are learning the basic skills they need for competition. Handstands, cartwheels, somersaults, things like that. They are also learning bars, balance beam, ect.
Last week her teacher told me that she is now doing something called back hip circles. Naturally I wanted to see!! I also wasn't too sure what that was LOL! So being the proud Mommy that I am, I had to get my husband to video tape it for me!! Here is a video of Brynna on bars doing back hip circles and casting. She loves the bars!!!
This video was taken when class had ended so she was pretty tired. When she did them at the beginning of class she did 4 in a row!!!! Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy!!!
She's a super cutie! And she's really good at that! I'd probably hurt something... No, I KNOW I would! :)

ReplyDeleteI am now a follower.
I love it! I'm a former gymnastics coach (taking time to be a mom) and for a 4 year old, that's really awesome. You don't see little ones doing back hip circles and pullovers by themself that often If she keeps going like that as long as she enjoys it, she could get pretty good.:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the follow.:) I'm following back:)
Thank you so much!!! Coming from a former coach that means a lot!!! I was hoping she was doing great, I really don't know much about gymnastics. LOL. I was super proud! She has been doing pullovers and stuff for a long time now! She just turned 4, and she has been doing it since she was about 3 1/2.
ReplyDeleteI did gymnastics from the time I was 6 until I went into high school and gave it up to play softball (the schedules just didn't work together anymore.) I was on the travel team and we went to meets all over the state. I was certainly no Mary Lou Retton, but I held my own!!! LOL
